Filmmaker | Video Editor | Photographer

"My passion is rooted in the storytelling traditions of my Hmong heritage,

and today I bring timeless stories to life through a modern lens."

Elaine Vue

I'm a filmmaker and photographer based in San Francisco, Bay Area, with six years of experience as a video production manager and ten years of video editing. I've navigated through numerous projects, including several short films where I've lent my expertise across various departments. In my previous role as Video Production Manager/Editor at Career Girls, I led a diverse and talented team to produce high-quality short video series that showcase inspiring role models to inspire and empower girls. I am also pursuing my MBA at Valar Institute at Quantic School of Business and Technology, enhancing my leadership and management skills and expanding my network.

Currently, I'm taking on the pivotal role of 1st Assistant Director for an upcoming independent feature film slated for production in August 2024. My journey in visual storytelling is fueled by a passion for creative collaboration and crafting compelling narratives that resonate deeply.

Through my work, I strive to amplify marginalized voices and shed light on narratives that deserve to be heard. I'm constantly seeking opportunities to partner with fellow filmmakers to create impactful short and feature films driven by captivating narratives and innovative execution.
